President Dilemma (spoiler alert for those who did not read the last book)

Okay, so I waas wondering what you guys all thought of how in the third book (spoiler alert) she kills one president and then the other one chokes on his own blood... Did any of you see the symbolism in that? With the choking over haveing too much power???
